Chris Pratt generó el enojo de Jason Momoa, conocido por encarnar roles como Khal Drogo en «Game of Thrones» y Aquaman, en la película homónima. Momoa criticó en Instagram al actor de 40 años por posar con una botella de agua de plástico en el marco de una producción en la que anunció su colaboración con Amazon.

Momoa, acérrimo activista del cuidado del medio ambiente, no dudó en llamarle la atención a un mensaje público. «Hermano, te amo pero no con la botella de agua. Nada de plásticos de un solo uso. Vamos», escribió el actor hawaiano en un comentario en la publicación de Pratt.

En respuesta, Pratt, lejos de enojarse con su compañero, respondió: «¡Aquaman! Tienes toda la razón. Maldición Siempre llevo conmigo mi jarra de agua reutilizable grande de un litro. ¡Incluso lo tuve ese día!».

Momoa lleva años luchando por la limpieza de los océanos y el reciclaje. El pasado abril se afeitó la barba para concienciar a la gente de que el plástico está matando a nuestro planeta y que el aluminio es una opción más ecológica. En septiembre tuvo la oportunidad de hablar ante las Naciones Unidas representando a Hawái y a otras islas que están sufriendo el cambio climático.

Tras las críticas, el actor se mostró arrepentido y le pidió disculpas a su colega a través de una publicación con una foto de ambos. «Hermano, conoces a mis hijos y estamos locamente enamorados de ti y amo todo lo que haces. Lamento lo que sucedió (…) Espero que hagas una botella de agua reutilizable para Amazon para que todos podamos comprarla. Eres una inspiración para muchos, soy uno de ellos».

En la nueva publicación, Momoa también ofreció enviar a la estrella de Jurassic World una caja de su agua «Mananalu», que está empaquetada en «latas de aluminio 100% reciclables» en lugar de plástico. El objetivo de la marca es “eliminar las botellas de plástico de un solo uso”.

Pratt asumió el papel de «Peter Quill, Star Lord» en «Guardians of the Galaxy» en 2014 y en la secuela que salió en 2017. Junto con la próxima tercera entrega de la franquicia, la ex estrella de «Parks and Recreation» será parte de dos películas que saldrán en 2020: Pixar’s Onward y la película de guerra de ciencia ficción, «The Tomorrow War».

En tanto, Momoa hizo su debut en el universo extendido de DC con su aparición como «Aquaman» en «Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice en 2016». Tendrá un papel en la película de 2020, «Dune».

Tanto Pratt como Momoa han aparecido juntos en una película, «The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part».
